Training & Development
Cape strives to be the safest, most reliable and intelligent operator in its sector and the training and development we provide to our people is fundamental to these aims. In 2009, Cape delivered over 500,000 hours of training in 28 different languages, both at our dedicated training centres and at client sites around the world.
Our five regional training and assessment hubs are located throughout our international footprint including the Middle East / Gulf (Abu Dhabi), Far East (Philippines), CIS (Kazakhstan) Pacific Rim (Perth Australia) and UK (Teesside), where we deliver training locally in line with robust international standards, in all of our core disciplines.
Our dedicated hub teams are made up of professional training and development staff who are committed to ensuring Cape develops the skills and competencies needed to make us successful. Our teams have been selected not just for their professional training credentials but also for their relevant industry experience, and, having worked for Cape for many years, most of our staff know the business inside out. They stay up to speed with industry practices by supporting the recruitment, initial project mobilisation and re-certification processes for our people.
Cape has a long history of providing best in class training and development opportunities for our people, so much so that many of our clients also use this expertise to ensure that Cape’s standards of safety and reliability are applied by both their own employees and by other contractors that they use on their sites.
