As you might expect our recruitment process for Management & Site Based Positions differ slightly, so read on to find out what you can expect after you have submitted your expression of interest.
Management & Graduate Positions - throughout our international operations
If you submit an expression of interest in one of our group-wide Management & Graduate roles, you can expect us to contact you straight away. We know that good people are in short supply, so we want to find out as much as we can about you as quickly as possible.
To submit an Expression of Interest or view / apply for Current Management & Graduate vacancies throughout our international operations, visit our Cape Management & Graduate Recruitment Portal.
The process starts with us screening your CV to ensure you have the background, skills and experiences that we are looking for. If you do, we will contact you – usually for a general discussion. We tell you a little about the business, our different regions and about the opportunities that we have now and coming up in the future. You tell us what role you are looking for, how you like to work and your career aspirations.
If our needs match, one of two things will happen. If we have a current vacancy that’s right for you, we will encourage you to apply. If we don’t have anything that fits you at that time, we will offer you the opportunity to become part of our approved external talent pool.
That means you will be among the first to find out about new open vacancies when they become available. Because we already know you’ll meet the criteria, we can then progress you straight to the final stages, similar to our internal candidates.
Being part of our external talent pool also allows us to keep you updated with things that are going on at Cape. You’ll receive general news updates and regular communications that are only normally shared with our existing employees.
Site Based & Professional Business Support Positions
At Cape we mainly recruit experienced people, either directing onto a specific project that we are delivering for a client, or in support of our site teams as our work in that country or area grows.
We also regularly recruit people who are about to commence their career and then support them through one of our formal trainee or apprentichip programs. Trainees and Apprentices can be any age, but are people new to the disciplines we employee or the industry's we serve.
If you are interested in joining one of our regional businesses in one of our professional business support positions or one of our site based positions you should submit an expression of interest directly to the region or country that you want to work in.
Working for Cape in the Gulf / Middle East
In most cases we will expect you to already be entitled to work in the country you are interested in and hold all of the relevant paperwork and visas to gain access to and work in the country of your choice.
Once you have submitted your CV to our local recruiters, they will keep you on their database and contact you when they have a specific open position that matches your skills and experiences or invite you to one of their recruitment events.
