- Technical Supervisor
Take a leading role in planning, costing and overall delivery of technical projects within a specific specialist area in such a way that they remain commercially viable, technically sound and meet customer needs. The purpose of this job is to take a lead role in planning, costing and overall delivery of technical projects within a specific specialist area in such a way as they remain commercially viable, technically sound and meet customer requirements. This will require the development of standards within the discipline, co-ordinating closely with HSE activity and Quality procedures. You will also carry responsibility for leadership within the specified field, maintaining close contact with technical developments and bringing innovation to the business.
- Team Leaders
Ensuring work is completed safely, within the time allocated and to the required standard. Also taking responsibility for co-ordinating labour, equipment and materials for the job set up and delivery in accordance with the job pack instructions. It is the ultimate responsibility of the Team Leader to ensure work is completed safely, within the time allocated and to the required standard. Team Leaders are selected for their skills and experience and are expected to recognise and find solutions to problems arising through the normal course of work. In the event of more complex problems, they have the responsibility for informing and involving their Line Manager, whilst managing the situation on-site.
- Operators
Operating specialist engineering equipment including high pressure water jetting systems, vacuum handling equipment, waste transport vehicles and CCTV inspection equipment. Working with chemicals, sewage and other hazardous materials, often in dirty and hazardous environments. The cleaning services provided by Cape DBI include the cleaning of tanks, pipes, drains and associated process equipment, the supply of skilled industrial support labour and the transport of waste. Cape DBI specialise in the use of high pressure water jetting systems, vacuum handling equipment, waste transport vehicles and CCTV inspection equipment. An example of the type of activities an Operator can expect to be involved in may include driving, manual handling, confined spaces entry, working at height or depth, operation of specialist engineering equipment, working on the highway, working with hazardous chemicals, sewage and other hazardous materials often in dirty and hazardous environments. Work can be very varied, may involve night working, responding at short notice to emergency callouts, working away from home and sometimes working for long hours to complete jobs.
- Trainer/Assessor
Typically, experienced industrial cleaners who have progressed into full-time training and assessing roles through a City and Guilds approved training curriculum. All training and assessments are carried out to national or international standards with Assessors also playing a key role in recruitment and promotion.
