North Africa

Cape's activities in North Africa began in 2002 with an initial project in Egypt - Damietta LNG. Since then we have built up a portfolio of long-term clients in the onshore oil and gas, power generation and chemical sectors, who rely on our specialist services and depend on our expertise and safety. We currently provide coating, insulation and scaffolding services.

  

We have established a training facility in Algeria to help local people develop the necessary skills to enjoy careers with us in the region. Our aim is to recruit 70% of our on-site people locally. A relatively new region for Cape, North Africa is an emerging market that presents excellent opportunities, and we expect our presence to grow significantly in the next few years.

Our key project in the region is the Arzew LNG plant in Algeria, where we will provide insulation expertise. Cape's track record for safety, reliability and intelligent approaches to on-site services has helped us build excellent relationships with our client on this project and we anticipate providing a wider range of services to the project in future.
