Asia Pacific Rim Offshore
Cape's support for various operations in minerals and mining, and the offshore oil and gas sectors of the Asian offshore region goes back over 15 years. Today, we employ around 500 people, providing specialist non-mechanical services to a wide range of clients, including ConocoPhillips, Clough Amec Joint Venture, SKS Wood, Shell Malampaya, Transfield Worley, Shell Philippines Exploration B.V and Heerema.
The main services we provide in the region are access, coatings, deck operations, pipefitting, welding and insulation and fire protection services. We also provide world-class safety and skills training and assessment for all on-site people, ensuring we maintain our excellent safety record wherever our expertise is called upon.

Some our key projects in the region include:
- ConocoPhillips Bayu Undan - offshore maintenance
- Brunei Shell Petroleum - campaign refurbishment
- Goro Nickel Project - scaffolding
- Shell Philippines Exploration B.V. - offshore hook-up and commissioning, plus on and offshore maintenance
We have developed strong working relationships with all our Far East/Pacific Rim offshore clients, by continuously meeting and exceeding their expectations and continuously looking into safer, more efficient ways to support their operations. To help us achieve this, we establish excellent communication and feedback channels.
Cape's contributions to local and regional economies, and the community, come in many forms. We recruit many local people in this region – there are Timorenze workers in our Bayu Undan crew and Bruneians working on our Brunei Offshore contracts. We are also involved in charities and initiatives like the Children's Joy Foundation, and help raise money through our Cape smile programme for children with cleft lips and palates to have life-changing surgery.
