Our Management and Leadership teams recognise an opportunity when they see one, and are continuously looking to add talented individuals to their teams. When additional work is identified, the Resourcing function is notified immediately, and the search for new talent begins.


Once notified, the Resourcing function get to work on spreading the word as far and wide as possible, via multiple channels including our careers page, job boards, and social media. When we know about a vacancy, you'll know about it too.


We recognise that not all jobs will be suitable for all people. For instance, you may already be working on another contract, or not interested in a particular location. To deliver the best service to you as a job-seeker, we don't believe it's appropriate to assume your needs, and think it's best left to you whether you feel an opportunity is right for you. Once you identify a vacancy that you're interested in, you can apply online with just a few clicks and by providing a little information. This process should take no longer than 5-10 minutes of your time, with subsequent applications being quicker once your details are registered.


Once your application is received online, our Resourcing professionals will conduct an initial suitability check, dependent on the requirements of the vacancy. These can involve checking that you have the right qualifications for the role, and speaking to you via a telephone interview to determine your suitability.

At the second stage of selection, your details will be provided to our Hiring Managers for feedback. This ensures that our teams can precisely match suitable candidates with their requirements and that important decisions are taken collaboratively.

In some of our Regions, it is common for candidates to attend a practical verification of competence (VOC) to determine if your skills, aptitude, and attitude closely align with our culture, and our commitment to deliver for our customers. Interviews and psychometric testing will usually be involved for Management and Support roles.

At each stage of the process, you'll be kept informed by our Resourcing teams.


If you're identified as possessing the "right stuff" to be a Cape colleague, you'll be notified by our Resourcing function, and receive a contract of employment and joining details, but the process doesn't stop there.
